About This 3-Day Safari
This three-day tour explores Arusha National Park, Tarangire National Park, and Lake Manyara National Park, with a highlight visit to the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater – one of Africa's seven natural wonders. Experience diverse landscapes, massive elephant herds in Tarangire, and the chance to spot the Big Five in the crater's vast caldera.
Day 1: Arusha to Arusha National Park
We pick you up early and head to the beautiful Arusha National Park. This hidden gem offers diverse flora and fauna, including views of Mount Meru, tranquil Lake Momella, and the Ngurdoto Crater. Spot buffalo, waterbuck, giraffe, warthogs, zebra, gazelle, and possibly shy leopards or elephants. Enjoy an optional guided walking safari with an armed ranger through lush forests to a waterfall, and look for acrobatic black-and-white colobus monkeys. Return to Arusha for overnight.
Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park
Drive to Tarangire, famous for giant baobab trees, termite mounds, huge elephant herds, and over 500 bird species. Game drives offer sightings of lions, giraffe, warthogs, ostriches, impalas, cheetah, mongoose, buffalo, and baboons. Continue towards Lake Manyara area for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Lake Manyara National Park to Arusha
After breakfast, explore Lake Manyara at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment. Enjoy varied habitats: groundwater forests, soda lake, and open savannah. Spot tree-climbing lions, buffalo, elephants, giraffe, impalas, hippos, and over 400 bird species. Picnic lunch in the park, followed by a game drive before returning to Arusha in the late afternoon.
